I’m Alison Scott, a student of Biotechnology and Ethics at the University of Guelph in Ontario, Canada.
I have been studying philosophy, technology, and biology for over four years now, and am constantly fascinated by the overwhelming absurdity, irrationality, and outright hilarity that surrounds us. This is not necessarily a bad thing, I’d argue the opposite; it keeps life interesting and is usually good for a few laughs.
This blog is an experiment and an exploration into new perspectives. I think it’s always worth it to look at something twice, think about it, talk about it, and now and again find the humor in it. I look in the news, in literature, and most often in the people around me for inspiration. The only reason I could give for writing about anything is that I find it worth writing about. I know, that’s both circular and unsatisfying.
As a disclaimer; I’m sarcastic, cynical, and not as funny as I think I am. I hope you enjoy anyways.
Cheers,
Ali.
