Education:

High School: Graduated with honors from the International Baccalaureate Program at Western Canada High School in Calgary, Alberta in 2006

Post Secondary: Completed 4 years towards a 5 year degree in Biotechnology and Ethics for the Life Sciences (Class of Fall 2010) at the University of Guelph, Ontario with one semester on a bilateral exchange in Montpellier, France.

Awards:

The most recent award was the Canadian Millennium Scholarship for excellence in academic achievement and community involvement, which was renewed for its full term of three semesters (Fall 08, Winter 09, Fall 09). In 2006 and 2007, I was an Academic All Canadian while playing both varsity Field Hockey and Ice Hockey at the University of Guelph. Other awards include an entrance scholarship to the University of Guelph and the Alexander Rutherford Scholarship from the Province of Alberta.

Other Qualifications:

I have studied music and musical theory for over 15 years, and have completed my Royal Conservatory Academy of Music Grades 6-8 on the violin and 6-10 on the cello. I was enrolled in the Royal Conservatory Academy of Music at Mount Royal College for 8 years.

I have completed the Canadian Bilingual Assessment Exam and am proficient in French and Cantonese. I grew up speaking Cantonese with some of my family members and took French all throughout primary and secondary school. I recently spent one semester on bilateral exchange in Montpellier, France improving my proficiency in the language by completing a semester instructed in the French language.
